24TH EDITION OF ABITARE IL TEMPO QUALITY BEYOND THE CRISIS, FROM DESIGN TO DISTRIBUTION Verona 17th-21st September 2009 “TOTAL LIVING”, THE MOSAIC OF LIVING ON SHOW IN VERONA Architecture, design, craftsmanship and industry combine to create an idea of living which finds its expression of excellence in Italy. To tell the truth, not one idea, but a thousand and one, from which designs become products, ready to be appreciated and sold in the finest shops. Of course, the current crisis has slowed this process, but it can't stop the creative flow and the entrepreneurial passion which are the source of its success. We are convinced that the crisis is an opportunity to reflect, clarify and re-launch the quality of the decor sector, which is the envy of the world. For this reason, Carlo Amadori, who has organised and curated the exhibition since 1986, for the 2009 edition has put his name to a representative image of this “river of ideas” which runs through Verona and finds expression in the only Italian exhibition able to unite 18 different product sectors, all linked to the décor sector. A well-constructed presentation of the concept of “total living”. The mosaic of living is creatively composed to offer a wide, comprehensive and harmonious picture of quality, able to project itself beyond the crisis, from design to distribution. New “look” for the commercial halls A 360-degree perspective on show, in which the various sectors which make-up the interiors landscape participate - furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, upholstery, decorative accessories, table ware, lighting, wall and floor coverings, and furnishing fabrics of classic and contemporary taste, of haut décor and design- this is the winning formula of the exhibition in its commercial format. The rational division of the 7 halls, entirely dedicated to the exhibitors, supports the validity of the “Total living” formula. So we find the names from the textile sector united in halls 2 (together with the textile designers) and in hall 3, whereas the classic ranges and haut décor are on show in halls 2, 4 and 5. Innovative design is on show in hall 6, together with decorative accessories, decorative objects, and table ware. This also extends to part of hall 7, where innovation in kitchens and bathrooms predominates, and where fashion designers exhibit their décor creations. Finally, as already announced, Abitare il Tempo has renewed its “look”. What is new this year is due to the new set ups, sober, functional, and relaxed, specifically designed for these halls, which provide different types of stand, with heights of 4 metres in the halls showing the classic ranges, and 5 metres for the halls with more contemporary collections. Interwoven perspectives- the outside piazza Another innovation for Abitare il Tempo is represented by the outside project covering 15.000 square metres, entirely dedicated to outdoor décor, by Frassinago Lab. The area situated in the piazza of the fair in front of the halls, will be reserved for ideas from the finest representative companies in this sector, which has been in constant growth in recent years, creating a small but organic exhibition within a exhibition. |
